LD2450 is a 24GHz FMCW millimeter-wave (mmWave) radar sensor module that provides real-time tracking of up to three moving human targets within an indoor area, reporting distance, angle, and speed. It acts as a high-precision alternative to PIR sensors for smart home applications, boasting a detection range of up to 6 or 8 meters with ±60∘plus or minus 60 raised to the composed with power ±60∘ coverage. Compared to common PIR sensor, which only detects movement, the HLK-LD2450 tracks moving targets and detects stationary presence. 

Makerfabs integrated the LD2450 with ESP32S3 module for convenient usage, on firmware, we integrated this product with Home assistant, so common users be more easily get it works. With the case, the sensor direction can be adjusted, more friendly for home installation.

This product can be used for applications such as:

• Smart Home/Office: Intelligent lighting, AC, and fan control based on presence.
