The Gigabit PoE shield lets you connect your OpenMV Cam to PoE Ethernet. This gives you a one-cable solution for power and connectivity. The PoE Shield features a 10/100/1000 Mb/s capable Ethernet jack with IEEE802.3af PoE support capable of providing up to ~6W of power to your OpenMV Cam. The PoE Shield supplies 5.6V via VIN through an ideal OR'ing diode, allowing it to be combined with any of our dual header column shields that supply VIN via an OR'ing diode.

Peak UDP Transmit performance exceeds 500 Mb/s using Python sockets with the N6.
Note that the PoE shield will only work with OpenMV Cams with onboard Ethernet, such as the OpenMV Cam N6 and OpenMV Cam RT1062. Also, the PoE Shield comes with the mounting hardware and screws pictured.
